Sorry I haven’t written in ages, for I’ve been busy preparing for my exams and haven’t had time. Anyways, I thought you might like to know about my visit to the newly opened fast-food restaurant in our town.
Do you remember the fast food restaurant I told you a few weeks ago? Last Friday, I thought we’d pop down for a visit with my family to celebrate my younger sister Maya’s 10th birthday. We went to the Pizza Hut which was on the west coast with a spectacula view of Tsunami Memorial. It is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the evening.
Unlike the other places, the interior of the restaurant was painted with bright red and brown. Air was always filled with the aroma of delicious mouthwatering pizza and the only sound was the talk and laughter of people and light romantic music.I must say ,i was over the moon.
We ate something special! Guess what? My sister is crazy about spicy chicken pizza but all the family members couldn’t stand the smell of spices. So we all ate yummy Italian meatball pizza and coke.
Even though the food was extremely delicious, we thought it was unhealthy to eat every day.
Well, I hope you get some ideas about my visit to Pizza Hut. Do find my attachment of photos from the restaurant.
Honourable judges, teachers, parents and my dear friends. Good morning one and all. I’m Ann Maria and today I’m going to express my views on the most important quality a student must have in his life.
What do you think is the most important quality for a student? I think it is the leadership qualit. Leadership is the action of leading a group of people in the right direction.
Dear friends, have you heard about the famous American president, Abraham Lincoln? When he was a boy, he was very poor. He did not get a chance to study well. He read books under the street light. But he had leadership qualities, that made him the most famous American president of all time.
I would like to share with you the important qualities that make good leaders. The first and most important quality is honesty and integrity. A leader should have confidence and he must inspire others. He must be a good communicator and should take responsibility and accountability. For me, a leader should be creative and innovative. Last but not least, a real leader should have decision-making abilities. Dear friends, if you want to become leaders, you should try to develop all these qualities.
Today I would like to remind you of a great Maldivian leader, Mohamed Thakurufaanu. You can see all the leadership qualities in him. Another great example is Mahatma Gandhi who was born with leadership qualities. He fought against British people and won freedom just like Mohamed Thakurufaanu.
Friends, in conclusion, I would like to say those leadership qualities are important things for becoming an ideal student. You all can become leaders. You all can develop these qualities. I hope these tips will give you an idea how to become great leaders. Thanks for listening. Have a great time.
Cambridge IGCSE ESL Article Writing to School Magazine
Do you think mobile games are unimportant to students? If yes, should think about it. A significant number of parents argue that video games are harmful to students because it causes addiction.
One of the negative sides of video games is that it causes health hazards due to continuous games. Some people say video games destroy a good relationship in the family because players do not find time to interact with family members and finally they may be socially isolated. A few teachers believe that students do not study their lessons and their grades deteriorate because of their games such as PUBG.
However, I strongly believe mobile games play an important role in teenage life. I have many reasons to say video games are very important for teenagers. My first reason is that students learn problem-solving technique by playing the game. Another positive point of the game is that it enhances critical thinking and also helps us to enhance our hand and eyes coordination that is really important for the students. Another important reason is that it improves our social skills. Last but not least, mobile games help us to increase our concentration.
I remember a true story which I read in a kid’s magazine. Once there was a boy in China who was very poor in studies. His parents gave him a mobile phone and he started playing video games. Later he showed tremendous progress in studies. Researches illustrate that such games could enhance mental ability.
To sum up, video games have both advantages and disadvantages. It is inappropriate to say video games are completely hopeless for students. Video games have a multitude of benefits too. One of the most important things is that teachers and parents should understand the real value of mobile video games. However, students should not play excessively and destroy our lives. Many of my friends say that it is a shame if we haven’t played a game like PUBG!
Honourable judges, beloved teachers and my dear fellow competitors. Good evening one and all.
Have you ever been bullied? Yes, I have been. I must say it is a total nightmare. So, friends, my name is Ann Maria, and today I am going to share my views on bullying.
What is the biggest problem in a student’s life? First thing is bullying. The second thing is bullying. And the third thing is bullying. Bullying takes place every single day. It takes place in this AV room. .It happens in our classrooms. It takes place even in social media.
We all see bullying. We know that it is there. We also do it even sometimes knowingly or unknowingly. We all bully others and why? For jealousy? For popularity? Or for fun? And the whole time, we pretend we don’t care about anything that goes on around us.
Yet we all say and do things that we care about more. We allow bullies to grow. We keep quiet and we all make bullies one way or another. Whether it’s gossiping in the classrooms or a post on Facebook or pushing someone around, we all do it and allow others to do it.
However, all of us have been a victim of bullying too. We’ve all had those days when we were being mocked and harassed. And we were so terrified that we had to be alert every moment for their mischievous and inhumane actions.
Dear friends, bullying is an inappropriate way to vent your anger. So my advice for all of you is that we should stand for each other instead of creating conflicts between us. And fight back for your rights!
Dear friends, to sum up, I hope you will never allow anybody to bully anymore. And more importantly, you will stop bullying others.
you for giving me your valuable time. Wassalaam Alaikum.
